Couples Coaching Intensive

While I have worked with couples in long term therapy formats for years, what I found was that the results were painfully slow.  I developed the intensive format to accelerate change for couples and the feedback I got was immediate and wildly positive.

 

The couples coaching intensive is intended for couples who know that change is urgent and working slowly over many weeks is too painful and intolerable. The coaching model varies from the therapy model in that we are more focused on the now, you are extremely ready for active shifts to be more relational and self-aware, and you want very direct and solution oriented feedback in the process.

 

Using RLT, experiential work, and my somatic training we get to the heart of the issues in a no nonsense and deeply supportive and kind way so that dynamic shifts happen immediately. Intensives are scheduled in Marin, CA, with a two day, approximately 10 hour start (we take whatever time we need but we average 10 hours over two days) followed by an additional 10 hours over the following several months for a total of 20 hours.

 

  In the intensive we will likely be working on; ​

 

- Learning new skills and practical tools

- Understanding your own reactions, defenses and needs

- Witnessing your partner in owning self-responsibility and awareness of patterns

- Understanding and shifting core couple patterns

- Committing to new connection practices and self-awareness​

Couples Intensives are, well, intense but I am committed to the format because even with couples who have tried years of therapy and various skilled therapists, nothing I have seen elsewhere creates change like this format.  This is appropriate for couples who are on the brink of divorce when other supports have failed them.  This format is also appropriate for couples who are not thinking of separation/divorce but want more intimacy and connection, reconnection after the challenges of parenting, or want support as in making a life commitment in relationship.

 

Intensives are priced at approximately $14,000 with a non-refundable $2,000 deposit. After the initial two day meeting, if we do not use the entire remaining time allotment, you will be charged based on the amount of time used.  

 

As of September 2024, there is one remaining slot in 2024 and couples are being scheduled in 2025. All intensive blocks are booked in full at the time of scheduling. If you would like to continue coaching after our intensive concludes, it is likely that I would have to refer you as I currently have limited space. Cancellation is refundable with two months notice with the deductible of an administrative fee of $200.
